We belong to Open Morris, a national association of Morris sides.
We have close links with Earl of Stamford Morris, based in the Warrington area.
Mucky Mountains links
The Mucky Mountains were formed from waste from Muspratt's Vitriol Works.
The St Helens Wildlife Recording Group have some information on the wildlife of the Mucky Mountains. An enormous colony of Preissia quadrata (a large thallose liverwort confined to lime-rich areas) has also been reported.
The Mucky Mountains are in the Sankey Valley Country Park, managed by St Helens Council. For a map, see Multimap, where you can also see you an aerial photo.
